Serenity Solidarity is a collective of mostly Black, Brown, and Indigenous people rooted in land based collective living, activism, and community service.

Our Vision

We envision a global village with multiple communal living projects that are service and hospitality based, in the spirit of other peace and justice focused communities such as Susu Community Farm. Our first community is currently starting up near so-called Albany, NY on Mohican land. We are reclaiming a model of living that values people for their inherent purposes without measuring personal value against nature. We are currently building capacity to house our core collective members, and we continually seek to expand our capacity to include people who are refugees, houseless, formerly incarcerated, people who have been without access to land for generations, and without a place to call home.

Members.

Our members are focused on racial, restorative, social, and economic justice, direct action activism, and community service initiatives. We are dedicated to empowering families and people of color who have no generational wealth and have had no access to land for many generations. We value resourcefulness, patience, building community connections, and incorporating Black, Brown and Indigenous people as leaders.

Identity.

We are an income-sharing community that also shares collective ownership of community resources, such as land, buildings, and vehicles. In many cases, neither money nor particular skills are required to join; simply a willingness to wholeheartedly join the community and a commitment to live its purpose is sufficient.
